KNOW YOUR OPTIONS

The main types of Medicare coverage

Most people combine a few of these to get the coverage they need. Here's what each one does — we'll help you find the right mix.

Original Medicare

Part A & Part B

The federal foundation: Part A covers hospital and inpatient care, Part B covers doctor visits and outpatient care. Many people add other coverage on top to fill the gaps.

Part C

Medicare Advantage

An all-in-one alternative offered by private insurers that bundles Parts A and B — often with prescription drugs, dental, vision, and hearing rolled in. Plans and networks vary by area.

Medigap

Supplement Plans

Works alongside Original Medicare to help cover out-of-pocket costs like copays, coinsurance, and deductibles — giving you more predictable expenses and freedom to see any doctor who accepts Medicare.

Part D

Prescription Drug Plans

Standalone coverage that helps pay for prescription medications. We'll check your specific drugs against each plan's formulary so you're not caught off guard at the pharmacy.

Do I need Medicare Part A or B if I'm still working?

It depends on your employer coverage and the size of your company. Some people delay Part B without penalty; others should enroll right away. It's a common question with a personal answer — a quick call with an agent sorts it out fast.
